Suffolk New College raised an amazing £745.87 for Genesis and we are filled with gratitude at the hard work and dedication of the students at Suffolk New.
A group of catering students decided to do the generous act of hand picking our charity to raise money for. They raised this money by expertly creating a variety of baked goods and refreshing drinks to sell at the Suffolk Show. As they put their tasty cakes and tea on display, the public flocked to their delicious goods. We are so glad that they did, as they raised money that will go to further improving the quality services we provide for adults and young people with disabilities. We hope to honour the catering students that did the hard work of raising this money by putting the funds into our own catering facilities.
We currently have our own American Diner that creates the opportunity for all our service users to experience a restaurant setting. This service is especially impactful as many of our service users have not had the opportunity to have a regular dining experience, due to a lack of accessibility in many restaurants. This donation from Suffolk New College will go to making our diner as accessible as possible so our service users can enjoy their tasty food without any issues.
A huge thank you to Suffolk New College for your helpful donation!
