Thank you to the Ipswich Greyfriars Round Table for making the Green Bike Project their main charity for the Christmas Rudolph collection.

Thanks to the generosity of the residents of Ipswich, and the time and resources donated by local organisations, we are receiving £15,000 towards the building of a new workshop facility for the bike project.

Our staff had a fantastic night helping out to collect for Rudolph. It was so much fun and we would recommend the experience to any other local organisations who would like to get involved in collecting next year.

We are hoping to start the building works later in the year. Our focus is on creating an environmentally conscious and accessible space that reflects the ethos of our project. The Green Bike Project provides day care for disabled adults in Suffolk, supporting them in a work based environment to develop skills, form friendships, and have fun.

The project deals with bike repairs in Ipswich, and these second hand bikes are for sale at the project located on Wright Road, Ipswich, for a low cost. Our prices are low to encourage the recycling of bikes in Ipswich, so that bikes are repaired rather than thrown into landfill sites. We reinvest our profits back into the disability day care facilities as we are a non-profit organisation.

Buy purchasing a bike, you are not only making a greener choice, you are also helping us to provide vital support services to adults with disabilities in Suffolk.
